Past Events at Kings Creek Marina

8th Annual Kings Creek Marina Striper Tournament
December 2-3, 2011

First we want to thank all the tournament sponsors who helped make this tournament happen: Costa Del Mar, Epic Yachting, Big Rock Sports and Land N Sea. Their support was key to making this tournament happen.

For the Awards Ceremony:

• First Place: Team Forshore- Clinton Lessard, JP Hubbard and Tyson Arnold took home $753.00 with a 35.16lb Striper.
• Second Place: Team Big Blue- Christian Seay, Ricky Seay, Steve Bell and James White took home $436.00 with a 34.82lb Striper.
• There were not any fish over 34" to weigh in for 3rd place.

Lastly I want to thank the Aqua Restaurant: Shelly, Tony, Tiffany, Ana and Adria for putting out the spread and their support for the Captains Meeting on Friday night.

Again, thanks to all and we look forward to the 9th Annual Kings Creek Marina Striper Tournament set for December 1st 2012.

First Annual Slip Holder Crab Feast on the Pier

To celebrate the end to a great summer season and to show our appreciation for our annual and semi annual slip holders, Kings Creek Marina hosted our First Annual Slip Holder Crab Feast on the pier on Saturday, August 28, 2010. The DJ kept the atmosphere light and marina managers served up steamed seafood to the annual and semi-annual slip holders who filled their plates with crabs, clams, shrimp and corn and kept cold beer close by. The event was an inaugural hit sure to return for years to come!

Summer Concert Series on the Pier 2010

Kings Creek Marina hosted live entertainment on the docks throughout the summer with Cape Charles local celebrities, Heather and Nathan Travis from 6:00 pm until dark!

Memorial Day Weekend 2010

The Marina slips were full and the sun stayed out while guests enjoyed dock parties, live music from Heather and Nathan Travis and Matt Walker, and exploring Kings Creek and Cape Charles. 4th Annual Black Drum World Championship Tournament

Fishing began Friday night and ran through Saturday. A 76.38-pound citation black drum landed by local Captain Fred Smith of Craddockville, VA took top honors. Rounding out the winning Team, "Farm Use," were brothers Jim Smith of Craddockville, Mark Smith of Accomac, and J.E.Smith of Atlantic.

Hosted at Kings Creek Marina, the tournament held 53 boats in 2009 and the winning team of anglers captained by Bill Brown (pictured) landed an 84.8 lbs. citation Black Drum!
